Formed in Buffalo, NY in 1986, the Goo Goo Dolls have a successful career that has spanned well over two decades. The Goo Goo Dolls scored their first hit song with “Name” in 1995, with the album A Boy Named Goo going on to sell over 2 million copies. They followed up that success in 1998 with the release of the song “Iris” which appeared on the City of Angels soundtrack as well as their follow up to A Boy Named Goo, Dizzy Up the Girl. 2010 marks the 24 year anniversary for founding members John Rzeznik and Robby Takac. In the past 15 years they have been joined by drummer Mike Malinin. The band is touring in support of their ninth studio album, Something For the Rest of Us. With well-crafted songs and timeless lyrics, the Goo Goo Dolls speak to The Rest of Us.
