Over the years, Bonnie has appeared as a guest on over 100 album projects, as chronicled in the discography section of her official website. Earth, Wind and Fire with Orchestra Thursday, June 21 6pm Gates $32-82 $1 per ticket donated to Verdine White Foundation & Music is Unity Charity
Earth, Wind & Fire has been getting parties started across the planet since the group’s Chicago inception in 1969 and 2012 promises to be another banner year for the band, beginning with the release of Now, Then & Forever, the ultimate single-disc celebration of Earth, Wind & Fire, the iconic American soul-funk-fusion powerhouse which Rolling Stone said “changed the sound of black pop.” Inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, Earth, Wind & Fire has earned six Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards alongside numerous other accolades, not least of which is—with more than 90 million albums sold worldwide—EWF’s standing as America’s seventh top-selling musical group of all-time.
Childish Gambino
w/ Danny Brown Saturday, June 23, 2012 6:30pm Gates ALL AGES $32 Reserved Seats & Lawn
Childish Gambino is the rapper persona of Donald Glover, who doesn’t exactly have the stereotypical hip-hop backstory. Glover is also a successful, college-educated writer, actor, and comedian who grew up in the suburbs. Before he’d even completed his senior year at New York University, Glover secured a gig writing for the smash series “30 Rock.” His acting career blew up next: in 2009, Glover was cast on NBC cult hit “Community” as ex-football-star-with-an-identity crisis Troy Barnes. His triumphs, however, eclipsed Glover’s MC career.
Indeed, as Childish Gambino – a name created randomly via an online Wu-Tang name generator – Glover has previously released four full albums (2002’s The Younger I Get, 2004’s Sick Boi, 2008’s Poindexter, and 2010’s Culdesac), two mixtapes (2010’s I Am Just A Rapper series), and a 2011 EP featuring the Web phenomenon “Freaks And Geeks.”
CAMP takes that tension to new heights. It’s a true rap album, but one that defies easy categorization – and revels in the resulting confusion. The album represents just the beginning of the ambitions Glover has for the Childish Gambino movement – as he clarifies on “Hold You Down,” “I won’t stop until they say James Franco is the white Donald Glover.”

Together longer than The Beatles, RAIN has mastered every song, gesture and nuance of the legendary foursome, delivering a totally live, note-for-note performance in this multi-media concert, that’s as infectious as it is transporting.

Ledisi B.G.T.Y. Tour with special guests Eric Benet and Chrisette Michele Friday, June 29, 2012 6pm Gates $35-$85
With her new album Pieces of Me, Ledisi undoubtedly proves that she is a woman to know. Loaded with emotion and charged with unparalleled soul, this record adds another dimension to the persona the singer has been sharing with audiences since her explosive entrance on the music scene a few short years ago. “Imagine some of the characteristics of Shug Avery from The Color Purple, Ledisi says playfully. “She is fiery, expressive, spiritual and uninhibited. Well, I would say this is my Shug Avery-like project,” she adds with her trademark laughter. Anyone who’s seen her dynamic live show or follows her on Twitter knows this lively and clever side of the singer and Pieces of Me delivers even more.
The music of David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash is a cornerstone of rock ‘n roll. As Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN), this trio of legendary singer-songwriters has been actively collaborating since 1969, when they first harmonized in either Joni Mitchell's living room or Mama Cass Elliot's dining room, depending on which member you ask (Crosby and Nash ascribe to the former, Stills is adamant about the latter). Wherever its point of origin, the connection they forged from day one-as artists and as friends-was profound and unbreakable. Essential elements of our pop culture experience, their songs are just as durable, conveying emotional truths and social consciousness in equal measure.

Raheem DeVaughn, Tank and Carl Thomas
DDL & BrookBalt Entertainment present Hold Your Wife Tour w/ The Panama Band Friday, August 24th, 2012 6:30pm Gates $125-$40
Maryland-based R&B vocalist Raheem DeVaughn kicked his career into gear after initiating a series of independent releases, aided in part by the cash reward earned from winning a talent contest. Jive became interested, signed him, and released The Love Experience in June of 2005. The album peaked within the Top 50 of the Billboard 200 album chart, with the singles "You" and "Guess Who Loves You More" regularly spun on some of the more adventurous R&B stations across the U.S. Love Behind the Melody followed in January 2008, its first single, "Woman," was announced as a 2008 Grammy nominee for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and 2009 Grammy nominee for, Best R&B Song: "Customer”.
Tank is one of the most recognizable names in modern R&B, known for vivid storytelling and sensual love songs. He’s an icon in the making, with five albums and eight Grammy nominations under his belt. He’s also a singer who carries the torch of masters like Marvin Gaye and Al Green, while redefining R&B for a new decade. For singer/songwriter/producer Tank the secret is simple. He remains true to who he is, as a man and an artist. The new hit album, This Is How I Feel, features guest appearances from Chris Brown, T.I. and Busta Rhymes.
Carl Thomas, once a protégé of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs (who signed Thomas after hearing him sing at an open mic night in New York in the mid – 90s), he is best known for his #1 R&B smash “I Wish” from the album So Emotional, which debuted in the Top 20 on Billboard and was a critical and commercial success, selling nearly 2 million copies. Carl is set to release a new album Conquer with the new hit single “Don’t Kiss Me,” featuring Snoop Dogg.
Two of the biggest names in metal, Dethklok and Lamb of God join forces for the can’t miss metal tour of the summer. The world’s most brutal animated death band from Adult Swim’s Metalocalypse animated series and the three-time Grammy Award-nominated band from Richmond, VA will shred their way through Pier Six Pavilion on August 26 with special guests Gojira. As in tours past, Brendon Small, the co-creator and composer behind DETHKLOK, will bring the animated band to life on stage each night alongside an all-star band including the legendary Gene Hoglan, Bryan Beller and Mike Keneally.
Building on the success of Dethklok: The Dethalbum and Dethklok: The Dethalbum II from Williams Street Records, Small is currently in the studio working on the band’s third album release scheduled for later this year. Additionally, new episodes from the fourth season of Metalocalypse currently air on Adult Swim Sundays at 12:15 a.m.
There is no harmony like brotherly harmony. You can clearly hear fraternal magic at work in the songs of Scott and Seth Avett, better known as the Avett Brothers, who deliver a style of music that defies pigeonholing but might be described as a rootsy amalgam of folk, country, bluegrass, rock and pop – even a jab of punk-style dynamics here and there.
Over the years, the Avett Brothers built up a sizable following based on their rowdy, infectious stage shows. In concert, the high-flying ensemble tears through tunes with unbridled energy, popping banjo and guitar strings right and left while inciting stomping singalongs among audiences that appear to know every word. At times they would seemingly create their own subgenre onstage - “punkgrass,” for lack of a better word. This much is for certain: the Avett Brothers are a grassroots phenomenon, built from the ground up.
